Spot/Stain Removal

Spot/Stain removal

Effectively removing spots on carpet requires patience and careful attention. The longer the delay, the higher the possibility of a spill becoming a permanent stain. Most spills can be removed if immediate action is taken, because most carpets available today has a stain resistant treatment.

A stain is a discoloration caused by chemical reaction or by penetration of discoloring material into yarn's dye site. If it's a color added situation it may require using a color removal product and process to correct it.

A color loss stain (bleach, fading, etc.) may be addressed in some cases by a spot dye process or a carpet patch.

Professional Service Technician
spot cleaning with care

Our Professional Service Technicians will inspect any problem areas. In most instances 100% stain removal is achieved. Because of the nature of certain stains, it is not possible to guarantee total color/texture restoration. Factors of installation and/or deterioration that are disguised cannot be predicted in the hands of the most careful workman. The stains may require an additional service, e.g., dyeing, heat transfer, or repairing and a free estimate can be provided for these types of stains to be removed.

Please Note: that if any over-the-counter stain removal products were used, please inform the Professional Service Technician what, when, and how the product was used. This information is useful since some cleaning agents can set the stain in and possibly deter any efforts to remove the stain.

How to use our "Outta Sight" Spotter

Outta' Sight
  1. When using the spotter, apply the spotter to a small area on a liquid spill. Use small amounts and let it sit for a few minutes.
  2. If it's a dry spill, the spill should be scraped up with a blunt object and then vacuumed to lift and remove as much of the remaining substance as possible. Then use a small amount of spotter.
  3. Blot the spill with a dry, white, absorbent cloth. Blot from the edges of the spill to the center to prevent the spill from spreading. Repeat steps 1 & 2 when necessary.
  4. Do not scrub the area. Scrubbing can cause pile distoration in the affect area.
  5. Have a spray bottle of clean water to remove any access residue. Spray on the area and blot until all is absorbed into the cloth. Keep damp to touch not saturated.
  6. If you cannot remove, contact us and we can assist you
